Virginia High School Soccer - Bethel nudges Warwick
April 28, 2012: Newport News, VA 23601 Bethel Bruins (Hampton, VA) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Warwick Raiders (Newport News, VA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Bruins confront the Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, May 9. Bethel will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Phoebus (Hampton, VA).
The Raiders now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heritage for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 2. Warwick will confront a Hurricanes team coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 1-7.
