January 5, 2019: Waynesboro, VA 22980 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Waynesboro Little Giants (Waynesboro, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Covington Cougars (Covington, VA), by a count of 53-20.
The Little Giants (5-7) will now prepare for their outing against Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA). The Indians go into the Valley outing with a 6-3 record. In their last outing, Fort Defiance smashed Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA), 41-34, in a league outing.
The Cougars now hold a 2-10 record. They play next when they travel to Narrows for a Pioneer outing on Tuesday, January 8.
