Maryland High School Basketball - Great Mills overwhelms Northern
February 2, 2018: Great Mills, MD 20634 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD) and the visiting Northern Patriots (Owings, MD), saw Great Mills's basketball squad wallop Northern by a tally of 75-43.
With the victory, Great Mills improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Hornets host Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD) to play the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 5. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 4-2.
Next up, the Patriots play the Leonardtown Raiders (Leonardtown, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 7. Northern will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 68-43 non-league win over Chopticon (Morganza, MD).
