Pennsylvania High School Football - Carlynton drops to Brentwood
October 12, 2018: Carnegie, PA 15106 In Friday's league game, the Brentwood Spartans (Pittsburgh, PA) football team knocked off the host Carlynton Cougars (Carnegie, PA), by a final score of 34-21.
The Spartans (4-4) will now prepare for their game against Burgettstown (Burgettstown, PA). The Blue Devils come into the WPIAL 2A Three Rivers game with a 7-0 record. In their last game, Burgettstown toppled Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA), 14-3, in a non-league game.
The Cougars now hold a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Allegheny for a WPIAL 2A Three Rivers game on Friday, October 19. Carlynton will battle a Gladiators team coming off a 23-6 league loss to Serra Catholic (McKeesport, PA). The Gladiators record now stands at 4-4.
