The Steel Valley Ironmen football squad scored 40 points and restricted the host South Allegheny Gladiators to 3 in the Ironmen non-league victory on Friday.

The Ironmen now possess a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Western Beaver for a non-league battle on Friday, October 5. Steel Valley will play a Golden Beavers squad coming off a 27-21 league loss to Lincoln (Ellwood City, PA). The Golden Beavers record now stands at 2-4.

Coming up next, the Gladiators play the South Side Rams (Hookstown, PA) in a WPIAL 2A Three Rivers battle, on Friday, October 5. South Allegheny will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Rams enter the battle with a 4-3 record after their 26-7 league loss to Brentwood (Pittsburgh, PA).
