August 26, 2016: York, AL 36925 The Sumter Central Jaguars football team (York, AL), was beaten 21-0 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Lanier Poets (Montgomery, AL)
The Poets (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Northview (Dothan, AL). The Cougars come into the 6A Region 2 challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Northview was beaten by Enterprise (Enterprise, AL), 48-7, in a non-league challenge.
The Jaguars now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marbury for a 5A Region 3 challenge on Friday, September 2. Sumter Central will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 35-24 non-league win over Holtville (Deatsville, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-1.
