Ohio High School Softball - National Trail bounces Bethel
April 16, 2019: Tipp City, OH 45371 The National Trail Blazers routed the host Bethel Bees softball squad by a final score of 12-1 in Tuesday's league battle.
The Blazers (10-2) will now prepare for their battle against Covington (Covington, OH). The Buccs go into the Cross County battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Covington was routed by Miami East (Casstown, OH), 3-2, in a league battle.
The Bees now possess a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Cedarville for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 20.
Game Summary
The Lady Blazers improve to 10-2 for the season and 6-1 in the CCC with a 12-1 win over Bethel. The Blazers were led offensively by Makena Laird 2-4 with a double, RBI and 3 runs scored, Madison Hathaway 2-3 with a double and an RBI, Davlyn Werner 2-4 with a triple and 2 RBI's and Skyler Ward 2-4 with 2 runs scored. In the circle was Madison Hathaway, picking up her fourth win of the season in five tries and pitching a complete game. The Blazers have another CCC match up on Thursday against Covington.
