October 16, 2009: Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702 In Friday's non-league game, the Meyers Mowhawks (Wilkes-Barre, PA) football team tipped the visiting Holy Redeemer Royals (Wilkes-Barre, PA), by a final score of 20-17.
The Mowhawks (3-4) will now prepare for their game against Lake-Lehman (Lehman, PA). The Knights come into the Wyoming Valley 2A/1A game with a 4-3 record. In their last game, Lake-Lehman got by Greater Nanticoke Area (Nanticoke, PA), 40-6, in a league game.
The Royals now hold a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they host Northwest Area for a non-league game on Saturday, October 24. Holy Redeemer will battle a Rangers team coming off a 14-12 league loss to Columbia Montour Vo-Tech (Bloomsburg, PA). The Rangers record now stands at 4-3.
