August 29, 2009: Sioux Falls, SD 57110 The crowd at Saturday's non-league contest between the Washington Warriors (Sioux Falls, SD) and the visiting Huron Tigers (Huron, SD), observed Washington's football squad bounce Huron by a count of 54-0.
The Warriors now own a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Lincoln for a Greater Dakota contest on Saturday, September 5. Washington will play a Patriots squad coming off a 27-20 non-league win over Riggs (Pierre, SD). The Patriots record now stands at 1-0.
Coming up next, the Tigers play the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles (Aberdeen, SD) in a Eastern South Dakota contest, on Friday, September 4. Huron will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 24-16 non-league win over O'Gorman (Sioux Falls, SD).
