The Payson Lions basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Timpanogos Timberwolves to 46 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wasatch for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 9. Payson will confront a Wasps team coming off a 62-47 non-league win over American Fork (American Fork, UT). The Wasps record now stands at 4-0.

The Timberwolves (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Bingham (South Jordan, UT). The Miners enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Bingham nudged Bountiful (Bountiful, UT), 59-55, in a non-league contest.
