Missouri High School Basketball - Blue Springs South holds off Ruskin
February 4, 2011: Kansas City, MO 64134 Blue Springs South Jaguars (Blue Springs, MO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Ruskin Golden Eagles (Kansas City, MO), 58-53 in a league bout.
With the win, Blue Springs South upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season. The Jaguars host Rockhurst (Kansas City, MO) to play the Hawklets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 8. The Hawklets go into the bout with a record of 12-6. Rockhurst won 44-38 in their recent non-league bout against St. James Academy (Lenexa, KS)
Next up, the Golden Eagles play the North Kansas City Hornets (North Kansas City, MO) in a Suburban - Big 6 bout, on Tuesday, February 8. Ruskin will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 73-60 league loss to Park Hill (Kansas City, MO).
