Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Kearney Bearcats (Kearney, NE) and the host Lincoln Southeast Knights (Lincoln, NE), saw Kearney's basketball squad hold off Lincoln Southeast by a tally of 55-52.

With the victory, Kearney improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Lincoln (Lincoln, NE) to confront the Links in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 12. The Links come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Lincoln lost 69-44 in their recent league challenge against Norfolk (Norfolk, NE)

Next up, the Knights confront the Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE) in a A District TBD challenge, on Friday, December 12. Lincoln Southeast will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Islanders come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 76-47 league loss to Creighton Prep (Omaha, NE).
