September 24, 2011: Truckee, CA 96161 The Spring Creek Spartans football team (Spring Creek, NV), was ripped 40-3 in Saturday's league challenge with the host Truckee Wolverines (Truckee, CA)
The Wolverines (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Fernley (Fernley, NV). The Vaqueros come into the Northern 3A challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Fernley trounced Wooster (Reno, NV), 19-10, in a non-league challenge.
The Spartans now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Churchill County for a Northern 3A challenge on Friday, September 30. Spring Creek will meet a Greenwave team coming off a 52-21 league win over Sparks (Sparks, NV). The Greenwave record now stands at 2-2.
