In Thursday's league match, the visiting East Islip Redmen basketball team scored a good 60-51 triumph over the Half Hollow Hills East Thunderbirds.

In their next game, the Redmen confront the Centereach Cougars (Centereach, NY) in a Section 11 AA-3 match, on Thursday, January 28. East Islip will attempt to move on its 9-4 season record. The Cougars enter the match with a 4-9 record after their 43-28 league win over Smithtown East (Smithtown, NY).
