With the victory, La Vernia improves its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Houston (San Antonio, TX) to battle the Hurricanes in a 3A Region IV District 28 challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 13-3. Houston won 92-35 in their recent league challenge against Gonzales (Gonzales, TX)
Next up, the Aggies battle the Yoakum Bulldogs (Yoakum, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 28 challenge, on Friday, January 6. Poteet will attempt to improve on its 2-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 12-11 record after their 53-37 league win over Cuero (Cuero, TX).
