California High School Baseball - Arleta defeats San Fernando
March 12, 2010: San Fernando, CA 91340 Arleta Mustangs (Arleta, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host San Fernando Tigers (San Fernando, CA), 9-4 in a non-league test.
With the win, Arleta upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Pacifica (Oxnard, CA) to battle the Tritons in a non-league test on Saturday, March 13. The Tritons come into the test with a record of 1-3. Pacifica lost 12-0 in their recent non-league test against Birmingham (Lake Balboa, CA)
With the defeat, San Fernando falls to 1-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to Banning (Wilmington, CA) to play the Pilots in a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 16. The Pilots enter the battle with a record of 3-2. Banning lost 6-4 in their recent non-league battle against Bellflower (Bellflower, CA)
Game Summary
Down 4 to 1 with two outs and noone on in the 7th inning, Arleta had 5 consecutive hits and rallied to score 3 runs. In the 8th inning Sr.Ryan Sanchez had a three run triple and Arleta scored 5 runs to post a 9 to 4 win. Jr Pitcher Ivan Ceja threw a complete game for the Mustangs.
