The Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Dalhart Wolves (Dalhart, TX), 53-30 in Friday's league test.

The Pirates (12-7) will now prepare for their test against Levelland (Levelland, TX). The Lobos go into the 3A Region I District 1 test with a 20-3 record.

The Wolves now own a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they host Perryton for a 3A Region I District 1 test on Tuesday, January 19. Dalhart will clash with a Rangers squad coming off a 71-51 league loss to Estacado (Lubbock, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 12-12.
