The Centennial Spartans (Burleson, TX) football edged the host Crowley Eagles (Crowley, TX), 36-33 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Spartans face the Burleson Elks (Burleson, TX) in a 5A Region I District 8 bout, on Friday, October 17. Centennial will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Elks enter the bout with a 3-3 record after their 43-0 league win over Joshua (Joshua, TX).

The Eagles (3-4) will now prepare for their bout against Aledo (Aledo, TX). The Bearcats enter the 5A Region I District 8 bout with a 5-1 record. In their last bout, Aledo nudged Everman (Everman, TX), 38-17, in a league bout.
