In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Homer Pelicans (Homer, LA) basketball squad beat the host Athens Trojans (Athens, LA), by a count of 75-61.

With the victory, Homer upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Pelicans travel to Minden (Minden, LA) to play the Crimson Tide in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 29. The Crimson Tide come into the challenge with a record of 11-6. Minden lost 52-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Southwood (Shreveport, LA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Shongaloo Tigers (Shongaloo, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 2. Athens will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 58-52 non-league loss to Castor (Castor, LA).
