In Friday's non-league outing, the Mead Maverick (Longmont, CO) basketball squad edged the host Valley Vikings (Gilcrest, CO), by a count of 59-57.

The Maverick (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Loveland (Loveland, CO). The Indians go into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record.

The Vikings now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Peak to Peak for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 4. Valley will encounter a Pumas squad coming off a 57-48 non-league win over Platte Valley (Kersey, CO). The Pumas record now stands at 1-1.
