March 13, 2012: Greensboro, NC 27455 Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Northern Guilford Nighthawks (Greensboro, NC) and the visiting McMichael Phoenix (Mayodan, NC), witnessed Northern Guilford's softball squad tip McMichael by a count of 7-6.
The Nighthawks now sport a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Southern Guilford for a non-league match on Wednesday, March 14. Northern Guilford will face a Storm squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC). The Storm record now stands at 3-0.
With the loss, McMichael moves to 1-4 on the season. The Phoenix host Williams (Burlington, NC) to face the Bulldogs in a 3A Mid-State match on Thursday, March 15.
