The Miller Mavericks basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Lee Fighting Leemen to 56 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mavericks now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Western Albemarle for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 3. Miller will meet a Warriors team coming off a 0-0 non-league Chancellor (Fredericksburg, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 1-1.

The Fighting Leemen (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Broadway (Broadway, VA). The Gobblers enter the AA Valley contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Broadway was nudged by Millbrook (Winchester, VA), 94-33, in a non-league contest.
