North Pontotoc Vikings (Ecru, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS), 12-1 in a league test.

With the win, North Pontotoc upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS) to battle the Braves in a 4A Region 1 test on Tuesday, March 29. The Braves come into the test with a record of 10-2. Tishomingo County won 6-3 in their recent league test against Shannon (Shannon, MS)

With the defeat, South Pontotoc falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Cougars host Nettleton (Nettleton, MS) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region 2 battle on Tuesday, March 29.
