The Mead Maverick basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Weld Central Rebels to 50 in the Maverick non-league triumph on Friday.

The Maverick now sport a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Berthoud for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 25. Mead will meet a Spartans team coming off a 44-32 non-league win over University (Greeley, CO). The Spartans record now stands at 11-11.

The Rebels (8-14) will now prepare for their contest against University (Greeley, CO). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 11-11 record. In their last contest, University was defeated by Berthoud (Berthoud, CO), 44-32, in a non-league contest.
