The Grant Cougars football team (Dry Prong, LA), was beaten 35-8 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Jena Giants (Jena, LA)

The Giants (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Block (Jonesville, LA). The Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Block was beaten by Ferriday (Ferriday, LA), 28-26, in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Frederick for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 19. Grant will meet a Warriors team coming off a 31-8 non-league win over Montgomery (Montgomery, LA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-0.
