March 12, 2012: San Diego, CA 92109 In Monday's non-league outing, the host Mission Bay Buccaneers softball team scored a close 2-0 win over the Montgomery Aztecs.

Game Summary
The Bucs evened their record at 2 wins and 2 loses, by defeating Montgomery 2 to 0 in a pitching dual. In the top of the 6th inning, Laura Kamphaus made a diving catch to help secure a no hitter. In the bottom of the 6th inning, Mikela Saili hit a double with one out. Mice'la Ross followed with a double, and Saili was called safe on a close play at home. The Bucs led 1 to 0, until Jessica Loomis hit a single. Claudia Norton (pinch runner for Ross) would slide home, after Montgomery made an attempt to throw out Jessica stealing 2nd base. In the bottom of the 7th, Montgomery had runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out. Mice'la Ross would strike out the next 2 batters, to preserve a no hitter. She had 15 strikeouts, and 7 walks. Danya Stout caught all 7 innings throwing out Montgomery's first base runner attempting to steal in the 1st inning. Danya and Teresa Jackson each had a single in 3 at bats.
