Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lawrence Central Bears (Indianapolis, IN), 54-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Marauders travel to Rushville (Rushville, IN) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Friday, November 21. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Rushville lost 82-67 in their recent non-league bout against Columbus East (Columbus, IN)

Next up, the Bears play the Pike Red Devils (Indianapolis, IN) in a Metropolitan bout, on Friday, November 21. Lawrence Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record.
