The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Frisco Raccoons (Frisco, TX) and the host Newman Smith Trojans (Carrollton, TX), observed Frisco's football squad edge Newman Smith by a count of 24-20.

The Raccoons now own a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Heritage for a 4A Region II District 9 contest on Friday, October 14. Frisco will play a Coyotes squad coming off a 21-0 league loss to Wakeland (Frisco, TX). The Coyotes record now stands at 2-4.

Coming up next, the Trojans play the Turner Lions (Carrollton, TX) in a 4A Region II District 9 contest, on Thursday, October 13. Newman Smith will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record.
