Indiana High School Basketball - Marian can't hold off Washington
December 16, 2010: South Bend, IN 46619 The Washington Panthers basketball team scored 75 points and held the visiting Marian Knights to 70 in the Panthers league triumph on Thursday.
The Panthers now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Covert for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 18. Washington will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 74-69 non-league win over Dream Academy (Benton Harbor, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.
The Knights (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Prairie Heights (LaGrange, IN). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Prairie Heights was nudged by Churubusco (Churubusco, IN), 73-58, in a league contest.
