North Carolina High School Basketball - West Mecklenburg thwarts West Caldwell
December 27, 2013: Charlotte, NC 28214 The West Mecklenburg Hawks (Charlotte, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting West Caldwell Warriors (Lenoir, NC), 63-50 in Friday's non-league test.
The Hawks (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots go into the non-league test with a 9-0 record. In their last test, Freedom notched a victory over Forestview (Gastonia, NC), 82-63, in a non-league test.
The Warriors now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Bandys for a 2A Conference 3 test on Friday, January 3. West Caldwell will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 59-49 non-league win over Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 4-5.
