Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the West Caldwell Warriors (Lenoir, NC) and the host Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC), saw West Caldwell's basketball squad trounce Hibriten by a margin of 85-56.

The Warriors (1-0) will now prepare for their test against South Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Vikings go into the 2A Conference 14 test with a 0-6 record. In their last test, South Iredell was trounced by North Iredell (Olin, NC), 59-51, in a non-league test.

The Panthers now own a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Wilkes for a non-league test on Monday, December 13. Hibriten will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 63-41 non-league loss to South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 3-3.
