The Asheboro Blue Comets basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Southern Guilford Storm to 40 in the Blue Comets league victory on Friday.

The Blue Comets now sport a 13-8 record. They play next when they host Northeast Guilford for a 3A Conference 9 contest on Tuesday, February 9. Asheboro will meet a Rams team coming off a 46-39 league loss to Ledford (Thomasville, NC). The Rams record now stands at 11-11.

The Storm (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC). The Vikings come into the 3A Conference 9 contest with a 8-11 record. In their last contest, North Forsyth dropped by Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC), 44-31, in a league contest.
