Vanguard Charter Coursers (Colorado Springs, CO) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Salida Spartans (Salida, CO), 74-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Vanguard Charter upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Coursers travel to Merino (Merino, CO) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Friday, December 7. The Rams enter the game with a record of 0-2. Merino lost 41-37 in their recent non-league game against Haxtun (Haxtun, CO)

With the defeat, Salida moves to 1-1 on the year. The Spartans host Lake County (Leadville, CO) to face the Panthers in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 11. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 0-2.
