California High School Basketball - Redwood can't hold off Drake

January 8, 2011: San Anselmo, CA 94960

The Drake Pirates basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Redwood Giants to 43 in the Pirates league triumph on Saturday.

The Pirates now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to San Rafael for a Marin County contest on Friday, January 14.

The Giants (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Justin-Siena (Napa, CA). The Braves enter the Marin County contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Justin-Siena was nudged by Terra Linda (San Rafael, CA), 53-32, in a league contest.
