In Friday's non-league match, the host Wasilla Warriors football squad scored a good 35-22 victory over the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears.

In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Lathrop Malemutes (Fairbanks, AK) in a Northern Railbelt match, on Friday, August 29. Wasilla will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Malemutes enter the match with a 1-1 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Kenai Central (Kenai, AK).
