Kentucky High School Basketball - Cooper can't hold off Fern Creek
December 31, 2014: Burlington, KY 41091 The Fern Creek Tigers basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Cooper Jaguars to 67 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Tigers now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bullitt East for a District 24 contest on Tuesday, January 6. Fern Creek will battle a Chargers team coming off a 51-50 non-league win over North Laurel (London, KY). The Chargers record now stands at 8-4.
The Jaguars (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Harrison County (Cynthiana, KY). The Thorobreds enter the non-league contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Harrison County was nudged by Lincoln County (Stanford, KY), 82-51, in a non-league contest.
