Game Summary
Boys Soccer Season Opener
The boys soccer team earned a 2-1 victory over Citrus Valley in the season opener. Eduardo "Lalo" Lopez scored the first goal in the 30th minute taking advantage of a Citrus Valley defender mistake, and Alejandro "Neymar" Estrada scored what would end up being the wining goal early in the second half. The first assist was credited to Manuel "Many" Perez who had an outstanding game. Omar Barragan had the other assist when he pushed into the attack from his defensive position and gave a beautiful through ball to "Neymar" who finished the play with a low shot to the far post just passed the goal keeper, showing great poise in his first varsity game. Benjamin "Puma" Garcia had 2 saves and earned his first varsity win. The Spartans will now play Sultana in the Oak Hills tournament on Thursday 11/29 and Oak Hills on Friday 11/30.
