Illinois High School Basketball - Illini Central nudges West Hancock co-op [Hamilton/Warsaw]
December 28, 2009: Hamilton, IL 62341 Illini Central Cougars (Mason City, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host West Hancock co-op [Hamilton/Warsaw] Cardinals (Hamilton, IL), 54-51 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Illini Central upgrades its record to 4-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Midwest Central (Manito, IL) to encounter the Raiders in a Tomahawk bout on Tuesday, January 5. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Midwest Central won 63-60 in their recent non-league bout against Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains, IL)
Next up, the Cardinals encounter the Unity Mustangs (Mendon, IL) in a West Central bout, on Tuesday, January 19. West Hancock co-op [Hamilton/Warsaw] will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 57-31 non-league win over Canton (Canton, MO).
