California High School Volleyball - Corona del Mar edged by Mater Dei
March 19, 2010: Santa Ana, CA 92707 The Mater Dei Monarchs held off the visiting Corona del Mar Sea Kings volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Friday's non-league test.
The Monarchs now have a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tesoro for a non-league test on Friday, March 19. Mater Dei will confront a Titans team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Beckman [Arnold O.] (Irvine, CA). The Titans record now stands at 5-1.
The Sea Kings (2-4) will now prepare for their test against Huntington Beach (Huntington Beach, CA). The Oilers enter the non-league test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Huntington Beach was nudged by Newport Harbor (Newport Beach, CA), 3-2, in a non-league test.
