Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Centennial Cougars (Franklin, TN), 67-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Eagles travel to Brentwood (Brentwood, TN) to play the Bruins in a AAA District 11 bout on Tuesday, January 25. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 16-3. Brentwood lost 35-32 in their recent league bout against Ravenwood (Brentwood, TN)

Next up, the Cougars play the Cane Ridge Ravens (Nashville, TN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 22. Centennial will attempt to move on its 4-13 season record.
