Colusa opened the 2011 season with an exciting win against the Marysville Indians in a first round game in the Lindhurst Tournament. Colusa scored 3 in the top of the 5th inning to take the lead.Taylor Herrick lead off with a walk, freshman Sophia Garcia laid down the bunt the was thrown away at first base putting runners on 2nd and 3rd, Sophomore catcher Brittanee Garcia singled sending the first and second run across the plate, Garcia scored on sophomore shortstop Ashleigh Biggs base hit. Tiffany Friel openned her Senior year with an outstanding eight strikeout, 5 hit game against a very good Indian team.
