January 27, 2006: Memphis, MI 48041 The Memphis Yellowjackets (Memphis, MI) basketball edged the visiting Port Hope Bluestars (Port Hope, MI), 40-33 in Friday's league game.
The Yellowjackets (6-4) will now prepare for their game against Dryden (Dryden, MI). The Cardinals enter the North Central Thumb game with a 3-5 record. In their last game, Dryden edged Akron-Fairgrove (Fairgrove, MI), 68-34, in a league game.
The Bluestars now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Peck for a North Central Thumb game on Tuesday, February 14. Port Hope will meet a Pirates team coming off a 57-37 league win over Akron-Fairgrove (Fairgrove, MI). The Pirates record now stands at 4-5.
