Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Marshall Tigers (Lexington, MS) and the visiting McClain Mustangs (Lexington, MS), saw Marshall's basketball team achieve victory over McClain by a score of 79-64.

The Tigers now possess a 12-3 record. They play next when they travel to O'Bannon for a 2A Region 4 battle on Tuesday, January 10.

The Mustangs (10-5) will now prepare for their battle against Leflore County (Itta Bena, MS). The Tigers come into the 3A Region 4 battle with a 5-12 record. In their last battle, Leflore County dropped by Durant (Durant, MS), 56-43, in a non-league battle.
