New York High School Basketball - St. Mary's over Preston
December 11, 2010: Manhasset, NY 11030 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the St. Mary's Gaels (Manhasset, NY) and the visiting Preston Panthers (Bronx, NY), saw St. Mary's's basketball squad knock off Preston by a score of 54-40.
With the victory, St. Mary's improves its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Gaels travel to St. Dominic (Oyster Bay, NY) to meet the Bayhawks in a non-league contest on Friday, December 17. The Bayhawks come into the contest with a record of 0-3.
The Panthers (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Our Lady of Victory Academy (Dobbs Ferry, NY). The Jaguars come into the Catholic contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Our Lady of Victory Academy dropped by Cardinal Spellman (Bronx, NY), 62-42, in a league contest.
