The Metea Valley Mustangs basketball squad scored 49 points and limited the visiting North North Stars to 27 in the Mustangs league win on Wednesday.

With the win, Metea Valley upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Mustangs host South Elgin (South Elgin, IL) to encounter the Storm in a Upstate Eight bout on Friday, January 6. The Storm go into the bout with a record of 11-6. South Elgin lost 66-60 in their recent league bout against Neuqua Valley (Naperville, IL)

Next up, the North Stars encounter the Schaumburg Saxons (Schaumburg, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. North will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Saxons go into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 46-31 non-league loss to Hersey (Arlington Heights, IL).
