Greer Yellowjackets (Greer, SC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers (Greer, SC), 59-58 in a league bout.

With the victory, Greer upgrades its record to 5-12 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Chapman (Inman, SC) to play the Panthers in a AAA Region III game on Saturday, January 22. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 9-3.

With the defeat, Blue Ridge moves to 5-12 on the year. The Fighting tigers host Clinton (Clinton, SC) to face the Red Devils in a AAA Region III game on Wednesday, January 19. The Red Devils enter the game with a record of 5-7.
