Gordon Central Warriors (Calhoun, GA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting LaFayette Ramblers (LaFayette, GA), 42-37 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Gordon Central upgrades its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Calhoun (Calhoun, GA) to confront the Yellowjackets in a AAA Region 6 battle on Monday, December 22. The Yellowjackets come into the battle with a record of 5-3. Calhoun won 67-62 in their recent non-league battle against Armuchee (Rome, GA)

The Ramblers (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against Ringgold (Ringgold, GA). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Ringgold edged Tyner Academy (Chattanooga, TN), 47-38, in a league battle.
