Arizona High School Softball - Cibola can't get by Red Mountain
March 13, 2009: Mesa, AZ 85207 In Friday's non-league contest, the Red Mountain Mountain Lions (Mesa, AZ) softball team held off the visiting Cibola Raiders (Yuma, AZ), by a margin of 2-1.
With the triumph, Red Mountain moves its record to 11-0 on the year. The Mountain Lions travel to Desert Vista (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Thunder in a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 24. The Thunder come into the contest with a record of 5-2.
In their next game, the Raiders play the St. Mary's Knights (Phoenix, AZ) in a 5A Desert Valley contest, on Tuesday, March 17. Cibola will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Knights come into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to Centennial (Peoria, AZ).
