The Iola Mustangs (Iola, KS) basketball felled the visiting Field Kindley Golden Tornado (Coffeyville, KS), 48-40 in Friday's league test.

The Mustangs (4-7) will now prepare for their test against Chanute (Chanute, KS). The Blue Comets go into the Southeast Kansas test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Chanute went down by Parsons (Parsons, KS), 52-41, in a league test.
