Texas High School Basketball - Mesquite edges Bowie
December 22, 2008: Mesquite, TX 75149 The Mesquite Skeeters (Mesquite, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Bowie Volunteers (Arlington, TX), 47-44 in Monday's non-league test.
The Skeeters (10-3) will now prepare for their test against Marcus (Flower Mound, TX). The Marauders go into the non-league test with a 8-5 record.
The Volunteers now own a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they host Martin for a 5A Region I District 4 test on Friday, January 2. Bowie will clash with a Warriors squad coming off a 71-51 non-league loss to Keller Central (Keller, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 9-4.
